Snobowl, located 5 miles north of Elko, Nevada, is this areas only ski resort. Motorists can readily access the area by driving north on Fifth Street. A shuttle bus, that leaves every hour, is available at the end of the Fifth Street pavement.
In January 1998, the SnoBowl took a big step toward becoming a first class ski resort with it's first chair lift. The lift has 99 chairs and a elevation change of some 700 feet, peaking at 7,000 feet above sea level. A rope tow is available to beginners at no charge.
Different sides of the 'bowl' provide runs that accommodate beginning skiers and challenge expert skiers. Natural snow conditions are enhanced by snow making.
