2000 Deer Hunt

My 2000 deer season didn't end with the trophy buck i'd always hope for. It did have a great ending though. I was able to harvest a really nice 5 x 4 that measured 25 & 1/2 inches wide by 21 inches tall. Even though he wasn't the trophy I'd wanted, he is still an awesome buck and a hunt I'll always remember. The best part was sharing the experience with my hunting partner, Marvin, Who also happens to be my father-in-law. This wasn't the end of my season however. I was also there to help my friend Mark Moran harvest his buck. After trying to draw a tag for three years he was finally successful. We didn't have many day's to hunt so we were just looking for a nice buck for him. We certaintly did that with this nice heavy horned 3 x 3 that measured 22 inches wide by 18 inches high. A real nice end to another memorable hunt. Area 15 produces some nice buck's every year. And like the rest of nevada there are some real trophies here. I enjoy hunting this area and will continue to apply for it.
