Please remember to exercise caution when exploring Nevada's Ghost Towns & Mining Camps. Open shafts, drifts going into mountainsides, and old buildings, are all DANGEROUS. Be aware of your surroundings, and let someone know where you are, especially if your plans change.

Oak

DIRECTIONS: From Garden Pass, continue north on Nevada 278 for 11 miles to Oak.

"Oak was a siding on the Eureka and Palisade and the Eureka-Nevada railroads, which served as a supply point for the ranches in Diamond Valley from 1875 until the railroad tracks were torn up in 1938. No settlement ever developed at Oak, and the site was abandoned when the railroad folded. Nothing remains at the site today."
