Please remember to exercise caution when exploring Nevada's Ghost Towns & Mining Camps. Open shafts, drifts going into mountainsides, and old buildings, are all DANGEROUS. Be aware of your surroundings, and let someone know where you are, especially if your plans change.

Goodwin

DIRECTIONS: From Roberts Creek, follow old Pony Express trail southwest for 6 miles to Goodwin.

"Goodwin was located at a small group of springs in the dry flats west of Roberts Creek. The site served as a stop for Pony Express riders and the Overland Stage. Though the spot was not an official Pony Express station, riders often stopped to water their horses here before continuing to the next water stop, at Grubb's Well. One small cabin was built at Goodwin, and only a few old logs from that structure now mark the site."
