Please remember to exercise caution when exploring Nevada's Ghost Towns & Mining Camps. Open shafts, drifts going into mountainsides, and old buildings, are all DANGEROUS. Be aware of your surroundings, and let someone know where you are, especially if your plans change.

Cluro

DIRECTIONS: From Beowawe, take good road east for 8 miles. Exit left and follow for 1 mile to Cluro.

"Cluro was a stop on the Central Pacific and, later, the Western Pacific, railroads. A small settlement formed here during the late 1870s and early 1880s. A population of 37 lived here in 1881. A few residents continued to live here through the 1920s, but no one since that time. Only the railroad siding remains to mark the site."
