PLEASE NOTE: The Nevada Division of Wildlife is conducting a long-term study of the state's Sage Grouse populations and is collecting wing samples to help determine the status of the Sage Grouse population in Nevada. Sage Grouse hunters are asked to remove one wing from each Sage Grouse taken. There is a diagram in the Regulations to show you where to cut the wing. Please keep the wing dry and away from flies, a paper lunch bag works well. Deposit the wing at any of the Division's wing barrels, at check stations, or with Division employees that contact you in the field.
HUNTING HOURS: Sunrise to sunset daily.
*Special Sheldon Sage Grouse Hunt: 75 permits by special application only. Contact regional offices for Sheldon special sage grouse hunt applications.
There were some special regulations last year for these hunts. Not all were available to nonresidents. Some areas required permits with application deadlines. *Be sure to check with the Division of Wildlife Office before this years hunts for this information.*
Remember: Be sure you always have the most recent information before you hunt.
