One of our favorite NevadAdventureS is hunting Chukar. These birds always have the upper hand. You will find these guys in the steepest and roughest country in the state. They will out-run you UP the hills and when you get near the top they will soar to the bottom of the canyon. There motto seems to be "Catch Me If You Can".

After great hunting in the 70's and early 80's, drought and cold weather drastically reduced numbers. Today after the mild and wet winters we have had they are back. We have met those who never hunt anything but Chukar. These bird have a sort of cult following... and any one who has ever hunted them can certainly understand. Be sure to take your shotgun while Big Game Hunting, these birds will give you a nice break. If you get hooked it's not our fault... be sure to get the 2000-2001 regulations before you hunt for any updates.
